Hooverphonic - 50 Watt

Emotional aplifier
50 watts of pure desire
Electrified intense luck
Exploded fuse sets the heart on fire
As if we cut the wrong black wire
Intensified adrenaline bluff

Oh no it’s not a catastrophe
Although it’s not how it used to be
We can go on
Ignore the need to fall

Sustained need to doubt the soul
Manipulated final score
Is shame part of the essential four?
Earthly sins dredged in oil
What makes her blind the color gold?
Too many stories left untold

Hooverphonic is a Belgian based group, formed in 1995, who originally named themselves “Hoover”, then releasing their first album “A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular” under that moniker. Later, the famous vacuum cleaner company (by that same name) forced them to change their name for legal reasons. 50 Watt is the one of the single releases of Hooverphonic newest album The President Of The LSD Golf Club, released on the Tracks record label. For Tracks, it is their first non-Daan release. Hooverphonic consists of three members: Alex Callier, Geike Arnaert and Raymond Geerts. I’m a big fan of Alex Calliers work. His theatrical sounds are perfect soundtracks for long car drives.
